Alicia Harriet Blatchford Scudder
"Mrs." Scudder (1821-1892) lived down the road from Adeline at 12 Linden St., in a house that still stands. At the time, the Scudders had three children, the oldest of whom was eight, and two more would follow. Charles William Scudder was in business in Boston with his brother, Marshall, as the Charles Scudder & Co., commission and hardware merchants.
