The Scudders lived down the road from Adeline at 12 Linden St., in a house that still stands. At the time, the Scudders had three children, the oldest of whom was eight, and two more would follow. Charles William Scudder was in business in Boston with his brother, Marshall, as the Charles Scudder & Co., commission and hardware merchants.

Henry Fuller Dana
Henry Fuller Dana (1820-1874) married Mary Heath Howe in 1855, she of the 1850 broken engagement to Edward Wild that was the talk of the town. It appears that the couple lived with Mary's parents in the latter's house on Warren St.
