She remains unidentified. It is noted that Mrs. Knapp was presumably visiting from her home in Walpole, NH and there was a prominent Peck family in Walpole at the time.

Previously a theater, it was taken over by the Baptist Church in 1843. It was the first integrated church in Boston and was also used by other groups, like abolitionists, for meetings, concerts, and it housed several small businesses. Note the omnibus, often mentioned by Adeline, stationed out front.
