Hurley Confession

102 Davis Ave. today. The current resident reported that there is a small brass plaque on her house commemorating Officer McMurray. Kenny McHugh grew up at 21 Davis Avenue.
McMurray died without a pension. Every week there were pleas in the Brookline Chronicle for money to support his family. They set a goal of $25,000 figuring that the interest would support his 42-year-old wife and their six children. Mrs. Mary McMurray lived at 102 Davis Avenue until her death at age 93.
