At the entrance to Summit Ave. There are posters in several windows advertising movies that were playing April 11–17, 1936. Desire, starring Marlene Dietrich and Gary Cooper, and The Country Doctor, starring The Dionne Quintuplets, were both playing at the Uptown Theater on Huntington Ave., next to Horticultural Hall. Desire was also playing at the Capitol Theater at 1266 Comm Ave. in Allston, a little west of Harvard Street. were at the Uptown and Desire at the Capitol in Allston. and “The Country Doctor.
