357 Kent St., 1933
The Elizabeth Cotton estate viewed from the corner of Beacon St. (left) and Kent St. (right). Photographed from the top of 1180 Beacon St. The rear of the house at 60 Beech St. (built 1927) is in the near distance and the Sears Chapel and Longwood Towers are visible in the far distance.

Elizabeth was born in 1849 and moved into this house circa 1871 with her three older brothers. They all lived together in the house for decades, apparently remaining unmarried, until Elizabeth, the final living sibling, died in November 1932. An article in the July 29, 1925 issue of the Boston Globe shows a photograph of her two cows grazing in the foreground along Beacon St.
